Jersey sure?

Hello world!

Ahh weekends, they're like the time equivalent of a jersey dress. Sometimes they skim over you so effortlessly you feel like you're doing and wearing nothing at all (*nothing at all, nothing at all, nothing at all). Other times, they end up hitting every single lump, bump and curve on a downward race to gloomy Monday morning :-(

Ironically, my weekends lately have included the consumption of so much (good) food that it's highly unlikely I'll go anywhere near a jersey dress ever again! And even if I do there's always spandex and a genie bra right?....

Anyway enough of the silly stuff, here's some of my culinary and couture highlights since we last spoke.

Until next time...Rose. xx

Culinary update

Beautiful fresh flavours- Asparagas and pea risotto (Black Pepper Cafe, Canberra)

Sunday lunch at the beautiful grounds at Poachers Pantry (NSW) where the Husband and I had:

Chicken terrine with a cherry glaze

Lamb rack with pea puree and creme fraiche

Duck cassoulet with radicchio

Garlic custard with roasted macadamia nuts

Couture update

The literal meaning of couture is made to measure right? So when I see something that's beautifully made or styled or repurposed, I think of them just like those magnificently coutured dresses from the ateliers of Paris.

Table couture (prep for dinner party at Le Rose)

Faux fur stole (recent purchase from Myer, Sydney)

I fell in love with this beautiful bike but did not purchase as had no room in the car, boo (local recycle warehouse, Canberra)

* Reference from The Simpsons for those as silly as me.

  2. Thanks Teak! Although I think our panini runs are as good as eating at any gournet 3 hatted/Michelin star restaurant in the world. Not only are the paninis to die for, but the company seals the deal.xx
