The way with words

Hello world!

Just a quick update about my upcoming update which I plan to post, post long weekend. Bahaaaaa, posting post long weekend, geddit? such subtle play with words....

For those of you living in Australia, excluding some poor fellows in QLD and WA, the upcoming long weekend signifies the Queen’s Birthday. Not her actual birthday of course, which was like in April or something, but her symbolic birthday. Because when you’re the Queen, details like celebrating your birthday on your actual day of birth, are superfluous.  Bit like paying taxes and raising responsible elder sons (cheeky).
Anyway before I go off on a tangent about the virtues of the Republic and the outdated notion of a Monarchy, let me say that I actually really like the Queen (Elizabeth the Second, and also the band led by the late Freddie Mercury) and while I will be wishing her a very Happy Birthday on her non Birthday of 11 June 2012, I also plan to spend my weekend indulging in various couture, cinema and culinary delights.

Plan of attack

Look for throw for sitting room, like these Jonathan Adler ones but for like 1/4 of the price.

Finally watch Midnight in Paris, because I hear Woody’s back in form and well...it’s about Paris.

Test recipes for an upcoming bridal shower I’m co-hosting with Sister Rose (so very important as it’s 6 weeks away, which gives me just enough time to practice my crust removing skills).
Attend the Handmade Markets with Little Rose, Teak, Mini Teak aka Pho, Miss A and Miss JJ. Very excited about this one, as last attendance saw the purchase of some fabulous fabric earrings.
For now I bid you farewell, but hope to post updates on all of the above super soon!

Until next time...Rose. xx

  3. Thanks Teak and Rachi, no luck on the throws or at The Handmade Markets :-( I'm getting picky in my old age.
